Reunion from the 70s or 80s

This looks like another reunion pictures from the 70s or 80s, look at the cars! Please help identify the participants. L to R Dick Gibb, son of Hilda (Baker) Gibb, grandson on Vernon Baker, Frank Furniss, husband of Wyona (Baker) Furniss, daughter of Vernon Baker, Carl Baker and Daisy Baker, daughter of Carl Baker. This is believed to be the Gibb farm where a reunion was held in the early 80s.

William Carl Baker was born 18 Dec, 1905. He is the son of William Perry Baker and grandson of Lydia Jane and Samuel Baker

Cleo, Mildred, Ernest and Beulah (Baker) Furniss. The four children of Thomas Baker. Cleo's daughter is Jean (Baker) Wolford. Mildred and Ernest were never married and neither had children. Beulah had two daughter's Barb (Furniss) Hildebrand and Sharon (Furniss) Gattshall.

Baker Reunion from the 80s?

On the bench I believe is Roland Hildebrand, husband of Bonnie Hildebrand, Bob Maley, husband of Treva Stoltz and Treva (Stoltz) Maley, daughter of Virgil Stoltz, grandaughter of Idro (Baker) Stoltz.. Behind the bench is Deanna (Baker) Detweiler, daughter of Dean Baker, grandaughter of Vernon Baker; next to Deanna is Elaine (Furniss) Morton, daughter of Wyona (Baker) Furniss, grandaughter of Vernon Baker. Who are the others?

The beautiful Baker Ladies. I am not sure when or where this was taken, it looks like a reunion. Maybe from the 50s?

Samuel Bakers Family?

We believe this is Samuel Baker's family. This may be his mother seated. If anyone has more information please let me know.

This photo has been a puzzle. We have wondered if these are sisters of Samuel from Indiana and the Kennedy that married a Baker girl.

Mildred always prepared a huge lunch for us when we (Grandpa Vernon, my dad, Robert, brother Bob & I) would go out to help Ernest with field work. Always a welcome sight at mid day!

Hello Baker Family Descendants,

Another year has passed and it is time again to be thinking about the Baker Family Reunion. Last year we decided to make the reunion just a little bit earlier to hopefully allow more people to come. We know that families get busy this time of year.

This is the same location that we have had the reunion the past few years.

Please bring your table service and food to share. We always have a great variety of delicious food as we have some great cooks in the Baker family.  Bring any pictures or memories that you would like to share about the Baker family, past and present. We should have some games and fun things to do during the afternoon for all to enjoy.

Please share this information with anyone that may not be on the list. If I have missed anyone, please let me know so I can add them to the list.

Also let me know if you are able to attend or not so we can have an approximate total of who may be attending. You can also send me some updates about your family that you would like me to share if you will not be able to join us.

This is a picture of the Kennedy Family Reunion from 1907. Lydia Jane (Kennedy) Baker and Samuel Baker are in the second row, the third and fourth from the right. Several of the Baker children are included in the picture. Thomas Baker, son of Lydia and Samuel and his wife Rose are in the third row, second and third from the right.Their children Cleo and Ernest are in the first row, first and second from the right.

2011 Reunion

The 2011 Baker Family Reunion was held August 14 at the Gallant Woods Preserve. About 30 family members attended. Good food, fun games and family stories were shared by all. Each of the children of Samuel and Lydia Baker were discussed and updates were given on each branch of the family. Prizes were given to the family that traveled the furthest, the oldest and the youngest and participants of the cornhole tournament. It was decided to hold the reunion earlier next year in hopes that more family could come since there are so many activities in August. Next years reunion will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012, noon at the Gallant Woods Preserve in Delaware, Ohio. Officers were elected. The officers are Sharon Gattshall, President; Coleen , Vice President; Miki Byers, Secretary; and Barb Hildebrand, Treasurer.
