Jean Baker Wolford

Jean Louise (Baker) Wolford, age 75, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.  She was born on February 9, 1944 in Mount Vernon to the late Cleo J. and Edith Leah (Kearns) Baker.
Jean graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1962 and shortly after started working for Cooper Bessemer as a secretary.  She married Ronald James Wolford on October 8, 2005 and spent 13 great years together.
She was a member of the Covenant Church in Mount Vernon and loved spending time and helping with the food pantry.  Jean also helped the church on a mission and helped with building projects for the needy.
Jean is survived by her cousins, Barb (Tim) Hildebrand, Sharon (Mike) Gattshall; a son, James (Kendra) Wolford; grandchildren, Macy, Connor, Shane; and a special friend, Mildred Wolford.
Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her aunts, Mildred Baker, Beulah Baker Furniss; and an uncle, Ernest Baker.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Covenant Church; 13360 New Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, with a celebration of life service starting at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Tim Overly will officiate.
