| William Kerr Kennedy was born February 16, 1818 in Juaniata Co., PA. His parents, Thomas Kennedy born 1785 and Nancy Kerr Kennedy, brought 10 children to Ohio in 1832 by team of horses. They settled in Crawford County, Ohio. |

| William Kerr Kennedy and Margaret Shanks Kennedy. Margaret had red hair. Nine children were born to this union. Margaret died in 1860 and he remarried Mary Lance. One child was born to this union. They are buried in the 16 cemetery north of Martel, Ohio. |
